The joint program of Department of Education and Colgate-Palmolive Philippines provides oral health educational materials and dental care products to public school learners. Marcelo Green Elementary School conducted Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Program, which was led by our School Principal, Ma’am Susan J. Corro.
This program aims to increase awareness and motivation for toothbrushing among our learners. Learning how to properly care for our bodies is important. In addition to handwashing, brushing our teeth on a regular basis is one of the finest strategies to maintain the health of our bodies. It aids in getting rid of the germs that lead to gum disease and tooth decay.
The Bright Smiles, Bright Future Program took place in Marcelo Green Elementary School on January 16, 2025. Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners were the recipients of this program. 334 Colgate toothbrushes and 14 pieces of toothpastes were given to Kindergarten learners, and 379 Colgate toothbrushes and 20 pieces of toothpastes were given to Grade 1 learners, as well. Before the distribution of health bundles, Dr. Evamona Jamisola, SDO Dentist II, performed an oral health lecture, followed by toothbrushing exercise/drill.
